List View Controls
All list views in Minotaur share a common set of controls for filtering, customizing, and exporting data. Here's how to use column filters, the Manage Columns feature, items per page, grouping, and Excel export.
These controls are available across all list views in the platform, including Candidates, Jobs, Clients, Placements, Activities, and more.
Column Filters
Each column in a list view has a filter icon (â–¼) in the header. Use it to narrow down the displayed records.
Here's how:
- Click the â–¼ icon next to any column header.
- Enter a value or select from the available options.
- The list updates in real time to show only matching records.
- Repeat for additional columns to apply multiple filters simultaneously.
To clear filters, remove the value from each filtered column or use the reset option if available.
Column filters work independently from the search bar at the top. Both can be used together for more precise results.
Manage Columns
The Manage Columns button lets you choose which columns appear in a list view. Your selection is saved and applied automatically on future visits.
Here's how:
- Click the Manage Columns button in the top-right area of any list view.
- A dialog opens with a toggle for each available column.
- Enable or disable columns as needed.
- Click Save to apply your selection.
Tip: Use this to focus the list on the fields that matter most to your workflow, and hide columns you don't need.
Items Per Page
Each list view lets you control how many records appear per page.
Available options: 5 · 10 · 20 · 100 · 250 · 500
Here's how to change:
- Locate the items per page dropdown at the top or bottom of the list (default is 20).
- Select the desired number from the dropdown.
- The list reloads showing the selected number of records per page.
Use the pagination controls (â—€ â–¶ and page numbers) to navigate between pages.
Group by Column
You can group records by any column by dragging its header to the group bar displayed above the list.
"Drag a column header and drop it here to group by that column"
This groups all records with the same value in that column together, making it easier to review data by category, owner, stage, or any other field.
Export to Excel
Any list view can be exported to an Excel file (.xlsx) for external use or reporting.
Here's how:
- Click the Export to Excel button in the top-right area of the list view.
- The file downloads automatically to your browser's default downloads folder.
- Open, Save As, or Save the file as prompted.
The export includes all records currently visible (respecting any active filters), with all visible columns.
